Gender Research Centre Orientation Gathering 2018

日期 : 2018-10-11

時間 : 12:30 – 2:00pm

地點 : Rm 709, Esther Lee Building, Chung Chi College, CUHK

You are cordially invited to an informal gathering organised by the Gender Research Centre to meet other colleagues and postgraduate students at CUHK who are interested in research, teaching or application of gender-related issues.

The Gender Research Centre (GRC) at the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong is the first research unit on gender issues in Hong Kong. Members include scholars from Social Science, Humanities, Medicine, Business Administration, and other interdisciplinary fields.

The functions of the GRC focus on four major aspects:

• Research – GRC provides a forum for researchers from different disciplines to discuss and collaborate on research projects. We host regular seminars and conferences

• Training – GRC conducts courses and gender-related training for the Government and other organisations

• Advocacy and Consultancy – GRC has been commissioned to conduct studies on gender-related issues. We have offered advice on and input into gender perspectives in policies and practices

• Information and Resources – GRC has compiled reference materials to build up a knowledge hub on international, regional and local gender issues and studies

You are invited to come and meet other colleagues who share similar interests in including a gender perspective in our work.
