Awardees of “Gender Justice Scholarship”

The “Gender Justice Scholarship” is established and funded by the Gender Research Centre to give recognition to students who have produced quality work on gender justice. We are delighted to announce the recipients of the scholarship whose articles are selected as the best three submissions. The following are the titles, as well as the authors, of the best three submissions:


  • “Cyber Anti-Feminist Sentiment: A Counter Movement in Hong Kong Since the #Metoo Movement” by LEUNG Long Tin (CUHK Sociology, 4) and WONG Yu Yan (CUHK Sociology, 4)
  • “Creating a Menstrual-Friendly Environment: Analysing the Feasibility of Menstrual Leave in Universities and Workplace” by NG Wai Shan Ebbie (HKU Hong Kong Studies, 3)
  • “The Precarious Balance: A Micro Analysis of Gender Interaction in Hong Kong Pickup Basketball” by FONG Wai Leung (CUHK Sociology, 4), WONG Tsz Ching Stephanie (CUHK Sociology, 4), and CHAN King Wah Joseph (CUHK Sociology, 4)


All three studies were presented by the awardees at the international conference organised by the Gender Research Centre, titled “Gender and Social Movements”, on 25 June, 2021 (Fri). Congratulation
