Background

Triggered by the sexual harassment incidents in Hollywood, victims of sexual harassment across the world have joint the #metoo campaign to speak out their experiences. While the world applauses these brave ones to stand for themselves, strong backlashes were also experienced. Instead of being sympathizing, some critics accused these sexual harassment claims as lack of proof and fuss-making.

Through exploring the experiences on making sexual harassment claims, this seminar seeks to address the consequences and impacts on making sexual harassment claims. What causes these backlashes? How the social, political and legal structures affect people to stand for themselves against sexual harassment? What are the direction and implications on new wave of feminist movement?
