In order to empower young scholars and researchers, the Gender Research Centre, CUHK will be hosting a series of skills training workshops to bring scholars of multidisciplinary background across CUHK to share their experience in conducting gender and sexualities research. Through exchange of knowledge and experience, these workshops hope to discuss best practices that combine research and social engagement, and support early career researchers in developing their work.
The workshops are designed for the participants who attended the GRC orientation gathering, and other junior researchers who are interested in gender and sexualities research.

Cammie McBride is a Choh-Ming Li Professor of Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was previously awarded the Prestigious Research Fellowship in addition to serving as PI on two CRF grants; she was just awarded both the SRFS and TRS grants in 2021.

两性平等青年论坛: 21世纪性别角色的反思(Youth Forum on Gender Equality: Re-examining Gender Roles in the 21st Century) 已于2007年1月20日在香港中文大学利黄瑶璧楼一号演讲厅顺利举行。是次活动由瑞典总领事馆、香港平等机会委员会、香港中文大学社会科学院及亚太研究所性别研究中心合办 ，是1月19日 在香港会议展览中心举行的The Seminar on “Advancement in Gender Equality – The Swedish and Hong Kong Stories”的延续。
性别研究中心主任张妙清教授、社会科学院院长李少南教授、平等机会委员会主席
邓尔邦先生、瑞典总领事伊云娜女士(Mrs. Boel Evander)及Swedish Institute 的Mrs. Cecilia Reimers 为论坛主持开幕仪式。大会亦邀请了教育行政及政策学系蔡宝琼教授及香港体育学院李翠莎博士担任主持。
举办是项活动的目的，是希望年轻人从小开始关注及思考个人生活及社会裏的性别平等问题。瑞典是推动性别平等的先驱，来自瑞典Ministry of Integration and Gender Equality的Ms. Gunilla Sterner，Malmö University 的 Dr. Lars Plantin 与中大新闻与传播学院马杰伟教授及人类学系谭少薇教授讨论他们怎样融合工作及家庭角色。校友张凯茵女士及甘佩玮女士就他们从事的专业，探讨女性在“男性主导”的行业裏的工作情况。最后香港教育学院麦肖玲教授及教育统筹局叶荫荣先生与同学研究教育界裏性别定型的现象。超过100位本地中学、大学老师及同学参与下午的互动讨论环节。
中大一直致力推动性别研究，性别研究中心为本地首个性别及妇女研究中心。社会科学院性别研究课程是本港唯一提供有关性别研究课程的学院。

「性别平等及家庭政策」国际研讨会将于2011年10月15日，假香港中文大学郑裕彤楼1号演讲厅进行。研讨会由欧洲联盟驻香港及澳门办事处联同欧洲联盟成员国驻港领事馆，及香港中文大学香港亚太研究所性别研究中心合作举办。
欧盟与性别研究中心均相信，要促进两性得到平等的待遇，在政策制定中包含性别平等意识是不可或缺的方向。是次研讨会，来自欧洲国家和亚洲国家的专家将探讨在其政治体制内性别政策的实施情况，交流他们在规划和推行性别平等及家庭政策的经验和困难。欢迎政界人士、商界领袖、非政府组织工作者、学者参与。研讨会的内容包括演讲和公开讨论环节。研讨会将主要以英语进行。
大会邀得平等机会委员会主席林焕光先生GBS. JP.、中大社会工作学系系主任马丽庄教授、中大社会学系副教授蔡玉萍教授担任嘉宾讲者，以及梁爱诗女士 GBM.JP., 及香港理工大学通识教育中心讲师黄碧云博士担任评论人，共同探讨本港的性别平等及家庭政策。其他嘉宾讲者包括来自日本、印尼、欧盟成员国的官员及学者。
欧盟致力推动两性公平对待以及促进有利妇女平等待遇的政策制定。 两位来自欧盟成员国，芬兰和荷兰研究两性平等的专家会在研讨会上分享她们对有效实施家庭政策和维护妇女权益的见解。
中大香港亚太研究所性别研究中心于1985年创立，是香港首个以性别及妇女问题为研究主题的研究组织。中心旨在提高大众对性别及妇女研究的认识，支持促进性别平等及妇女地位的行动，并透过社区联繫及有关活动，影响相关的政策及措施。
