In order to empower young scholars and researchers, the Gender Research Centre, CUHK will be hosting a series of skills training workshops to bring scholars of multidisciplinary background across CUHK to share their experience in conducting gender and sexualities research. Through exchange of knowledge and experience, these workshops hope to discuss best practices that combine research and social engagement, and support early career researchers in developing their work.
The workshops are designed for the participants who attended the GRC orientation gathering, and other junior researchers who are interested in gender and sexualities research.

Cammie McBride is a Choh-Ming Li Professor of Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was previously awarded the Prestigious Research Fellowship in addition to serving as PI on two CRF grants; she was just awarded both the SRFS and TRS grants in 2021.

兩性平等青年論壇: 21世紀性別角色的反思(Youth Forum on Gender Equality: Re-examining Gender Roles in the 21st Century) 已於2007年1月20日在香港中文大學利黃瑤璧樓一號演講廳順利舉行。是次活動由瑞典總領事館、香港平等機會委員會、香港中文大學社會科學院及亞太研究所性別研究中心合辦 ，是1月19日 在香港會議展覽中心舉行的The Seminar on “Advancement in Gender Equality – The Swedish and Hong Kong Stories”的延續。
性別研究中心主任張妙清教授、社會科學院院長李少南教授、平等機會委員會主席
鄧爾邦先生、瑞典總領事伊雲娜女士(Mrs. Boel Evander)及Swedish Institute 的Mrs. Cecilia Reimers 為論壇主持開幕儀式。大會亦邀請了教育行政及政策學系蔡寶瓊教授及香港體育學院李翠莎博士擔任主持。
舉辦是項活動的目的，是希望年輕人從小開始關注及思考個人生活及社會裏的性別平等問題。瑞典是推動性別平等的先驅，來自瑞典Ministry of Integration and Gender Equality的Ms. Gunilla Sterner，Malmö University 的 Dr. Lars Plantin 與中大新聞與傳播學院馬傑偉教授及人類學系譚少薇教授討論他們怎樣融合工作及家庭角色。校友張凱茵女士及甘佩瑋女士就他們從事的專業，探討女性在“男性主導”的行業裏的工作情況。最後香港教育學院麥肖玲教授及教育統籌局葉蔭榮先生與同學研究教育界裏性別定型的現象。超過100位本地中學、大學老師及同學參與下午的互動討論環節。
中大一直致力推動性別研究，性別研究中心為本地首個性別及婦女研究中心。社會科學院性別研究課程是本港唯一提供有關性別研究課程的學院。

「性別平等及家庭政策」國際研討會將於2011年10月15日，假香港中文大學鄭裕彤樓1號演講廳進行。研討會由歐洲聯盟駐香港及澳門辦事處聯同歐洲聯盟成員國駐港領事館，及香港中文大學香港亞太研究所性別研究中心合作舉辦。
歐盟與性別研究中心均相信，要促進兩性得到平等的待遇，在政策制定中包含性別平等意識是不可或缺的方向。是次研討會，來自歐洲國家和亞洲國家的專家將探討在其政治體制內性別政策的實施情況，交流他們在規劃和推行性別平等及家庭政策的經驗和困難。歡迎政界人士、商界領袖、非政府組織工作者、學者參與。研討會的內容包括演講和公開討論環節。研討會將主要以英語進行。
大會邀得平等機會委員會主席林煥光先生GBS. JP.、中大社會工作學系系主任馬麗莊教授、中大社會學系副教授蔡玉萍教授擔任嘉賓講者，以及梁愛詩女士 GBM.JP., 及香港理工大學通識教育中心講師黃碧雲博士擔任評論人，共同探討本港的性別平等及家庭政策。其他嘉賓講者包括來自日本、印尼、歐盟成員國的官員及學者。
歐盟致力推動兩性公平對待以及促進有利婦女平等待遇的政策制定。 兩位來自歐盟成員國，芬蘭和荷蘭研究兩性平等的專家會在研討會上分享她們對有效實施家庭政策和維護婦女權益的見解。
中大香港亞太研究所性別研究中心於1985年創立，是香港首個以性別及婦女問題為研究主題的研究組織。中心旨在提高大眾對性別及婦女研究的認識，支持促進性別平等及婦女地位的行動，並透過社區聯繫及有關活動，影響相關的政策及措施。
